My aching heart

Well, about an hour ago we got the news we had been waiting for, not the result we wanted really but at least we know where we stand.
My beautiful babygirl will need radiotherapy at the end of her chemo treatment as some of the lymph tumors need a little extra shrinkage help !.she is so bloody brave, and will sail through it all without a flicker i`m sure ..where as i feel like my heart is going to drop out of my chest any second.... If anything was ever to happen to my beautiful daughter my world would just end ,, simple as that.
So on a positive note .. lets do something about it ! .. Claire is determined to fund raise for Cancer Research and has already raised over £500 for her sponsored walk via just giving at justgiving.com/claire_young1 .

Also the R.T.Y.A are (Royalty Theatre Youth Acadamy) are staging a VARIETY SHOW on 25 th and 26th November with special guests   tickets are only a fiver and all profits are going to Teenage Cancer Trust ....
This Horrible disease may have got a hold of Claire .. she is a fighter and will get through this no problem .. lets kick the bugger up the arse and get rid of it forever by supporting theses events in whatever way we can .. please x

Paul and I had a little drive down the coast yesterday and ended up in Redcar !
REDCAR ... i hear you cry ! .. it was bloody lovely if not a little cold .. had a walk along the prom and around the boating lake, then a rake around the town centre shops.. all in all a very nice few hours out !

Wide awake in search of a tardis

Here we are at 6.30am on Tuesday morning and i`m wide awake watching On The Busses on channel E44+5.. Have been to bed and slept,don`t get me wrong ! but i woke up at 6 and couldnt get back to sleep. Paul (my partner) is off work today too, so he will be full of the joys of spring and wanting to go out for the day later, whilst i will be too effin tired and can`t be arsed !
Am missing my friends and family a lot at the moment , the last few days have been lovely spending time with the kids but i have an uncontrollable urge to go and visit my old buddies in Blackpool (I get these urges every 6 months or so) Haven`t been to Blackpool for over a year, last time was for my mate Jays stag night early last year ... and thats all abit of a blur !

Sometimes i just wish i could turn back the clock ? then i think .. how far back would i turn it if i could take my knowledge of the past years with me ? ? hmmmm ? I have some brilliant friends around me now and my teenagers and brilliant, and My family are supportive ... but .. what if ????? (wait for the trippy music and things to blur )

MONDAY BLUES

Well here we are.  Monday teatime again, have spent a good couple of hours with my lil girl this afternoon as she wasn't feeling too good, took the ex wife to get wallpaper samples as i`m going to decorate he lounge in her house for them.Then me and lil c  went to see Grandma Joan (my mam) for an hour or two .. she is completely doodleally !
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday BTW. Claire Adam and Matty (Claire's boyf) came round for roast pork dinner. Followed by cherry pie and clotted cream .yummy ..was great for us all to sit down for dinner together, it really doesn't happen often enough.. However they all seemed to vanish when it came to washing the dishes ? can`t imagine why ??
Anyway .. that just made my weekend really.. small things as they say ! back to work tomorrow, really must get something done so i can get paid ... then maybe a trip to Scarborough will be on the cards soon !
Via a working holiday with Flaming Nora x who incidentally is my big sis ....

BROTH AND DUMPLINGS

Although its not snowing outside i have decided to make broth for tea!
For those of you who may not know what BROTH is .. it is fresh boiled ham with pulses, potato, carrott,parsnip,turnip,leeks,celery, all boiled up into a beautifull thick soup. served with suet dumplings... Absobloodylutley fantastic, food for the soul.

I think the pan may be slightly large however and i may be eating broth for the next 3 weeks

Oh well .. never mind !

I cherish the time that i get to spend with my kids, They are both teenagers.. Claire`s 16 and Adams 17.
Until recently they lived there own lives and i only really ever saw them when  it was close to a special occasion .. eg. birthdays Christmas ect..apart from our regular weekends away at scarborough, of which, no doubt i will tell you more later.. Perfectly acceptable, after all, which teenager  wants there old man hanging around cramping their style ?
Then earlier this year the bottom of our familys world fell out when my beautifull daughter was diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma .. O.M.G !!!
She is now into month 3 of a 6 month Chemotherapy treatment, and is just flippin amazing. Nothing Phazes my girl at all as she takes it all in her stride..  i hope and pray to whomever is watching over us that she can get through this whole thing with the same gusto that she has currently.
Anyhoo.. as a result of this illness i now get to spend LOAAAAADSA time with my babygirl and get to see my boy much more now too, which is just fantastic !
Claire was gonna stay tonight at my house, as she does most Fridays lately, and was round this afternoon.
However plans change ! Its her maternal grans 60th this weekend and theres a big party at the family home in Barnsley .. so i have been left home alone ..arhhhhh x
Hovever the kids rarely get to see the maternal side of the family, and am sure they will all have a great time.
BESIDES .. i can now go out tonight to my local theatre group and get RATTED !!!!!

dont know rwhat `im gonn ado when Claire Go`s home .. dont be suprised if i only update my blog when she is visiting !
